Wagner Meters, a manufacturer of wood moisture measurement technology for more than 60 years and an associate member with the Southern Forest Products Association, has launched its L5300 Industrial Hand-held Wood Moisture Meter to replace the current L622 model.
The L5300 is an advanced moisture measurement solution engineered to enhance performance, streamline workflows, and deliver precise insights for lumber producers, sawmills, and kiln operations.
The L5300 industrial hand-held wood moisture meter features visual histogram readings, a bright backlit screen for use in dark kilns or storage areas, and a customizable species list. It’s also compatible with Wagner’s L722 lumber stack probe, allowing users to detect hidden moisture deep within stickered stacks, which will help reduce drying defects, improve quality control, and prevent costly rework.
What sets the L5300 apart is its integration with Wagner’s new WoodStat Pro software, which enables users to import, analyze, and report moisture data. WoodStat Pro transforms raw readings into actionable insights with histograms, statistical summaries, and customizable reporting tools.
Additional features include a color display, a customizable species list, and the ability to store up to 1,000 readings across 100 groups. The L5300 is IP67-rated for dust and water resistance and includes a USB port for fast data transfer.
