Western Integrated

The Southern Forest Products Association is proud to welcome Western Integrated as an associate member!

Western Integrated Electrical was founded in 1982 in Burnaby, British Columbia, by three partners with diverse experience in industrial electrical contracting and services, as well as control systems, including variable speed drives, programmable controllers, and circuit board repairs.

Their attention to quality, responsive 24/7 service, and a unique high-tech skill set helped Western Integrated Electrical grow into a leading industrial electrical services company in Lower Mainland Vancouver. Over the years, the company has expanded its services to include system integration and panel shop services.

Western Integrated Electrical’s system integration business was spun off in 1996 into a separate company to provide better focus, and Western Integrated Systems was born.

Initially focusing on the forestry industry, the business grew rapidly, and more personnel and facilities were added to help support that growth. Through WIS, the company expanded out of Vancouver to serve customers in the mining, forest products, packaging, water/wastewater, and food and beverage industries throughout North America and globally.

WIS, which now has more than 70 employees, moved into a new facility in 2017 doubling its office space and quadrupling the manufacturing space. In 2022, Western Integrated aligned its company to the regulation of professional firms and obtained the EGBC’s Permit to Practice, granting WIS the legal authority to engage in the reserved engineering practice.

The company partners with clients to solve their most pressing challenges, including speed to market, product quality, optimized production, and maximizing investment and uptime. Team member also partner with clients to provide valued expertise, flexibility, and a can-do attitude.

Western Integrated Systems has expertise in the fields of engineered VFD systems, material handling, machine safeguarding, and all types of automation projects, and has built a high-performance culture based on trust, integrity, professionalism, and expertise. The team takes pride in being a dynamic, entrepreneurial business and building lasting relationships with clients worldwide.
