Shelby Johnson and Ben Goodwin started working together as a field service technician and field service engineer with two of the industry’s top equipment providers in 1998 when there were several industry companies buying and merging with each other.
But they had a vision to start their own automation and controls company that supported the timber sawmill industry. Soon after, with a strong business plan and a leap of faith, Automated Control Solutions was born, and almost 20 years later, ACS continues to grow.
