Comact is expanding its operations by leasing a 48,000-square-foot facility in Port 95 Business Park in St. George, South Carolina.
This strategic move makes Comact the first tenant in this state-of-the-art industrial park, positioning the company to better serve its growing customer base.
“We are excited to expand our operations in St. George,” said Simon Potvin, CEO of Comact, an associate member of the Southern Forest Products Association. “The new facility at Port 95 will enhance our spare parts service offerings and support our customers with greater efficiency.”
The new facility’s location near Interstates 26 and 95 benefits Comact’s manufacturing and distribution while allowing the company to ship efficiently throughout North America, Potvin said.
“We are proud to support Dorchester County and align this investment with our core values of commitment to our clients,” he added.
Janko/Peakline’s investment in speculative buildings at Port 95 is a game changer for economic development in western Dorchester County, much like Comact has proven to be a pivotal asset for the community of St. George, said John Truluck, director of economic development for Dorchester County.
“The fact that the two have teamed up, as Comact becomes the first tenant at Port 95, is special,” Truluck said. “We look forward to seeing the continued positive impacts of that partnership.”
