A comprehensive educational component has been added to EXPO 2015 – the 33rd Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition – to be held June 10-12 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center. The Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) and the Forest Products Society (FPS) recently announced plans for “Forest Products INNOtech” on June 10, opening day for EXPO 2015.
INNOtech – short for Innovations and Technology Program – will be a program of technical seminars specifically geared to manufacturers of wood products and secondary processors. These seminars will be in conjunction with the FPS International Convention, to be co-located with EXPO 2015 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
“This program of educational seminars will greatly enhance the EXPO 2015 experience,” noted SFPA exposition director Eric Gee. “Working together, FPS and SFPA can provide a venue to promote the industry, share ideas, as well as bring a new audience to the show,” he added.
“We are excited to partner with SFPA on the INNOtech programming,” commented FPS Director Craig McKinney. “This type of collaboration will provide attendees with opportunities for knowledge sharing and networking that they will not find anywhere else. It will be a unique experience where you will see and touch the latest in technology and innovation on the show floor, while learning more about the hottest topics in the industry today,” he added.
The full INNOtech program is now being developed and will be announced at a later date. For questions about Expo 2015, contact Eric at egee@sfpa.org, or visit the show’s website: www.sfpaexpo.com.
