The Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) Board of Directors elected its 2014 slate of officers during its recent Fall Meeting in New Orleans.  They are Chairman Joe Kusar of Tolleson an  Ilim Timber Company, Perry, Georgia; Vice Chairman Scott Vande Linde of West Fraser, Germantown, Tennessee; and Treasurer William Almond of Almond Brothers Lumber Company, Coushatta, Louisiana. Tom Rice of Conner Industries, Fort Worth, Texas, will serve as Immediate Past Chairman.  The board also reelected Steve Conwell as SFPA President and Tami Kessler as Corporate Secretary.

The officers assume their new roles immediately.

“I look forward to working with the excellent staff at SFPA,” Kusar said.  “Our association is a strong voice in the industry, and I hope to build on that strength as our industry continues to rebound.”

“On behalf of the staff, I want to thank Tom Rice for the leadership and guidance he has provided SFPA during his extended term as chairman,” said President Steve Conwell. “We look forward to working with the new leadership, with some brighter days ahead,” he added.
