The 32nd Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition – Expo 2013 – delivered a much-needed boost to the forest products industry. Sponsored by the Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA), the show featured the products and services of 156 exhibitors, displayed across some 40,000 square feet of the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, June 5-7. Total attendance over the three days was 1,873.

With the show theme of Making the Grade, exhibitors were impressed at both the quantity and the quality of attendees. “I wish I had booked a larger space and brought more equipment to this show,” one exhibitor commented. “I also needed more salespeople on the floor here to handle the traffic,” he added.

SFPA’s exposition director Eric Gee realized the importance of this event to the industry. “There was a steady build in attendee traffic over the first two days of the show,” he reported. “It’s good to see the industry recovering so strongly. We see nothing but growth and continued success for future shows,” he added.

Soon, SFPA’s Expo Advisory Committee will begin the planning phase for Expo 2015.  Details about upcoming events will be available soon; visit www.sfpaexpo.com.
