The floor plan of the 32nd Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition – EXPO 2013 – is now officially larger than the event held two years ago.  Scheduled for June 5-7 at Atlanta’s Georgia World Congress Center, the show is shaping up to become the largest show in many years.

More than 130 companies have committed to exhibit space, representing nearly 34,000 net square feet on the floor plan. Recently, exposition director Eric Gee made available to exhibitors an additional 3,000 square feet of exhibit space to accommodate the surge in requests from companies wanting to show off their latest products and services.  The expansion of the floor plan includes many spaces on the show’s main aisle.

“The expansion of EXPO 2013 will certainly attract more qualified buyers to see these exhibits,” Eric says.  “As our industry continues to see signs of recovery, more companies are excited to be a part of this show,” he adds.  Bookings at the show’s block of seven downtown Atlanta hotels are running 30% ahead of the rate recorded at this point before the 2011 event.

The show floor will open at noon Wednesday, June 5, operate a full day June 6, then conclude at 1PM on Friday, June 7.

Registration to attend EXPO 2013 is now open.  Complete registration information, housing details and other show facts are available by visiting www.sfpaexpo.com. Contact Eric Gee at 504/443-4464, ext. 214 or by e-mail at [email protected]. Follow the show on Twitter: @forestprodexpo.
